Forensics: Scientists achieve forensics’ “Holy Grail” by recovering fingerprints from fired bullets | ScienceDaily

This title is a bit over the top. Broader validation testing yet to be done.

Researchers at Maynooth University have achieved a forensic milestone by revealing fingerprints on fired bullet casings using a safe electrochemical process. The method uses mild voltage and non-toxic materials to make hidden ridges visible within seconds. Effective even on aged casings, it could help investigators connect evidence directly to a suspect rather than just a weapon.

Forensics: Using RFKjr’s Anti-vax rhetoric as a substitute for scientific data. New article in print. Truly appalling junk.

There is an article titled “Evidence Showing Childhood Vaccinations Are Causing Autism and Other Intellectual Disabilities” (in the journal International Journal of Vaccine Theory, Practice, and Research, Vol 4 No 1, 2025) that claims a link.  However, this article has major red flags: In particular, the publisher and peer-review integrity are questioned. Independent commentary describes it as “junk science … a political stunt” and points out serious methodological flaws.
