    When the technique is known to be only accurate to plus or minus 3 years, the reports such as

    “However, based on the dental analyses of David Senn, a forensic odontologist at the University of Texas, L.B. was determined to be 17.10 to 23.70 years old, with 92.55% chances of having attained 18 years.”

    Are using misleading numbers. Apparently, these folks missed the math lesson on the use of significant figures. 17.10 years is 17 years, 36 days. 23.70 years is 23 years, 255 days. Even the use of the zero in these two numbers is dishonest.
