   In our crime lab, the serologists were using a 20-inch box fan to keep cool while analyzing evidence. Once it was reported to the DA’s Office, my boss wrote in a statement the circular logic of, “despite the fact that the use of the fan had been reviewed and okayed by the Supervisor because it did not present a quality issue, the use of the fan was terminated by the Section Chief in order to avoid a potential future quality issue”.
